Thrive no matter what...

Sometimes you have to take the less travelled road.

I am Pratham Potnis. I have completed my fourth year at Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus in B.Tech Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. My current CGPA is 7.58 after my seventh semester. I have received a pre-placement offer (PPO) after my 7th semester in a climate tech start-up called Smart Joules as a Product Analyst with a CTC of 15 L.P.A.

The reason that I gave this introduction is simple. There were many moments during my college life where I felt like giving up. My anxiety levels were at their peak. I was completely lost, my CGPA was very low, and I had realised that if I wanted to achieve the things that I actually want to do, then it will be really tough for me to proceed forward through the standard paths that are set in college. So what I did was I used all the options I had wisely, avoided extra burden wherever possible, chose to utilise resources provided by the college which aligned with my goals, and navigated my way through this vague, confusing and scary phase and explored what I truly wanted.

In the upcoming blogs, I will share my experience as a 7 pointer on various aspects of my college life, such as academics, extra-curricular activities, hostel life and much more. Not everyone is genius, but we can use the resources we have and manipulate situations to emerge victorious. If there are any particular topics that you want me to cover, then please leave a comment!
